International Development Courses are run for students by students. They promote and develop awareness about the crucial issues people should be aware of to be a global citizen. It is essential to have awareness and knowledge about these topics before becoming involved in development interventions
Okay, so Edinburgh University have made their campus crazily sustainable. Do we want to do the same? Transition Universities comes from the ideas of transition towns, but this really really is whatever people want to make it. We might want to get all our electricity from a green supplier, knock down the roger stevens and build something better (?!) or get hundreds of little social centres all over campus.
This event is aimed at food co-operatives, small to medium sized co-operative wholesalers and retailers, buying groups and growers. The event is being run by the membership team of Co-operatives UK and the Making Local Food Work project and will be held at the Birmingham Midlands Institute.
