Leeds University Fuel Poverty Action presents The Fuel Poverty Workshop - this is a change to find out more about fuel poverty from key campaigners and to discuss how the issue affects students and what we can do about it.
On Tuesday 22nd November there will be a mincemeat making workshop in the Union. So if you fancy preparing the innards for some lovely vegan mincepies then come along!
You'll need to bring jars/containers for the mincemeat, and a spoon. We've ordered lots of ingredients so the amount we make is up to the amount of people who turn up and how much you would like. We'll be requesting donations be made to Green Action, depending on what you think an appropriate amount
At Pedallers Arms this Sunday we're having our second ever drop in
bike maintenance session for women and trans people. If this is you,
you're very welcome to come along any time between 12 and 5. This
month we're also having a special session on brakes to kit you out for
the cold, wet months so if you'd like to be there for that then come
down at 1pm. Would be nice to see you especially if you haven't been
to the new space yet, the last session was really lovely.

Come and learn a little bit about a lot of food waste followed by a trip to the bins themselves.
There'll be having a short discussion and thought share about issues surrounding food waste in society alongside ways of combatting and coping with it. After the talk there'll be two trips setting off in different directions - one on bikes and one on foot.
Meet in the "Common Room" (the old union bookshop) on the lower floor of the union at 5pm.
In conjunction with Sustain Green Action is hosting a skill share on how the co-op works. There are universities from all over the UK comming to see how we work.
Our suppliers Lembas are giving a quick talk, so is a founding Green Action member. It would be great if a other Green Action memebers came along, you can meet other uni's that want to do simmialr things and also give different perspectives on why people got involved.

As part of healthy week events UTravelActive are running a hands-on basic bike maintenance course 12 -2pm to teach you how to sort common problems and keep your bike in good and safe working order.
