How to edit this site?
Simple, you can edit some things anonymously but to do most things it is best if you log in. Click 'Edit' in the top right of the page. There is a WSYWIG editor that helps you edit the page but if you are a HTML-wizz then feel free to click on view Source and edit in HTML. Some simple things that you might want to do are:
Linking to other pages
To link to another page in this website simply type that pages name surrounded by two square brackets. This creates a link with the same name as the page title, to rename the link to New Name:
To link to an external site then use the 'Insert/Edit link' button on the editor. Or use the method above with the full url instead of the page title.
Creating new pages/calender events e.t.c.
To create a new page go to Create content. You will have the option of creating a few types of new content:
- Event
An event on the calender. - Story
For documents, adding photos, e.t.c. It is published to the home page e.g. this page.
Adding Pictures
On the Menu (under 'Source') click 'Insert/Edit Image'. In the popup click on 'Upload Image' and then click 'Upload'.
Select your picture and then click 'Send to FCKEditor'. It would be nice if you selected the "thumb_" version of your picture to 'Send to FCKEditor' and then linked to the full sized version but if this is too complicated then just send the full version.
Adding other files
Use the 'Insert/Edit image' button in the editor if you want to add an image and you can upload images to this site. If you want to attach a document such as a Word Document (doc), Adobe Acrobat file (pdf) e.t.c.then uses the File attachments below.
Tagging pages or 'Vocabularies'
If you make a new page then please tag it with the correct categories. Also if there is a new category that you would like or want to edit an existing one then post a message on then contact us
Other things
Please correct any mistakes. Also it is helpful if you add a log message as to why you edited the page.
